Part Two – Spooky Season
Y’all. I freaking LOVE October. I love spooky season! I love sweaters, hot chocolate, picking out and decorating pumpkins. The thing I love the MOST though, is watching scary movies.
When I was a kid, I would get together with friends and we would watch scary movies all the time. As I’ve gotten older, a lot of productions have sacrificed plot for gore and it’s lost a bit of it’s shine for me, but with incredible productions like The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor, spooky is making a comeback and I am living for it.
Cut to today, where my childhood and adulthood have come together: Fear Street on Netflix. I used to read all the Goosebumps and Fear Street books when I was young. Watched Are you Afraid of the Dark on Nikelodeon. This was so nostalgic for me.

I won’t post any spoilers on this page about the Netflix trilogy – but beware: there is a LOT of death and gore, which I felt a little gratuitous in places. The storyline was truly well done and I enjoyed it more than I can say. A great way to kick off spooky season, because we are all watching the same thing on actual Halloween, right?
